NYX · Make Nicotine Your Ex
Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 4, 2026
The short version
What NYX keeps
NYX is a tool to help you reduce nicotine use. It is not medical advice and does not diagnose or treat anything.
- Guest mode: everything stays on your device. No account, no upload. Uninstalling the app or clearing browser data deletes it permanently.
- With an account: we store your email and your game save (products tracked, baseline amounts and costs, logged sessions and skips, XP, level, streak and badges) so it survives a new phone.
- Subscriptions: Apple or Google handles billing. We receive purchase status only (active, trial, expiry date), never card details.
- Ads: free players see occasional full-screen ads served by Google AdMob, which may use an advertising identifier. NYX Pro removes ads.
Your choices
Ads and tracking
You can turn off personalized ads at any time. Ads may still appear, but they won't be tailored to you.
- iPhone and iPad: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, then turn tracking off for NYX. You can also limit ad tracking under Apple Advertising settings.
- Android: Settings → Google → Ads, then delete your advertising ID or opt out of ads personalization.
- NYX Pro removes ads entirely.
NYX never requires tracking permission to play. We never sell your data, and we don't share your nicotine tracking history with advertisers.
Your rights
Delete your data
You can delete your account at any time in the app from Settings → Account → Delete account. Your account is blocked as soon as deletion is accepted. Your sign-in, cloud save and subscription record are then removed; final provider cleanup may continue briefly in the background. This cannot be undone.
Deleting your account doesn't cancel a paid subscription. Cancel it in your Apple or Google account settings. For questions or a manual deletion request, email info@nyxquit.com.
Notifications
Reminders
If you turn on timer alerts, NYX schedules reminders on your device. Nothing about your reminders leaves your phone. You can switch them off in the app's Settings or in your device's notification settings.
